Kurt Woerpel is a graphic designer, illustrator, art director, and a few other things, living and working in Brooklyn, N.Y. He splits his practice between Interview magazine, freelance design work, and TXTbooks, a collectively-run riso publisher. His work has been recognized by the One Club Young Guns and Type Directors Club Ascenders awards.
On the messy overlap of passion projects and professional pursuits, DO IT (FOR) YOURSELF will use Kurt's Illustration, Design, and Indie Publishing practices as a broader reflecting point on the hustle, grind, and just-have-fun-with-it-industrial complex.
